Immobilization of TiO2 Photocatalysts for Water Treatment in Geopolymer Based Coatings

نویسندگان

چکیده

This study presents a simple and sustainable coating technology for the deposition of photocatalytic coatings based on titanium dioxide geopolymers, which requires no thermal post-treatment. Titania powder P25, potassium silicate calcium aluminate-based hardener were dispersed in water applied to aluminum substrates using paintbrush, roller spray gun. The air-dried 12 h. activities tested via degradation an aqueous methylene blue solution batch reactor under artificial UV-A light. gun-based yielded well-adhering with high activity. Brushed inhomogeneous unstable. presented method producing is very apply does not require complex technologies or energy-intensive treatments.

One‐dimensional TiO2 Nanotube Photocatalysts for Solar Water Splitting

Hydrogen production from water splitting by photo/photoelectron-catalytic process is a promising route to solve both fossil fuel depletion and environmental pollution at the same time. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanotubes have attracted much interest due to their large specific surface area and highly ordered structure, which has led to promising potential applications in photocatalytic degradatio...

Optimized Nanostructured TiO2 Photocatalysts

Titania is the most widely studied photocatalyst. In its mixed-phase configuration ( anatase–rutile form) – as manifested in the commercially available P25 Degussa material – titania was previously found to exhibit the best photocatalytic properties reported for the pure system. A great deal of published research by various workers in the field has not fully explained the underlying mechanism f...

Plasmon-enhanced water splitting on TiO2-passivated GaP photocatalysts.

Integrating plasmon resonant nanostructures with photocatalytic semiconductors shows great promise for high efficiency photocatalytic water splitting. However, the electrochemical instability of most III-V semiconductors severely limits their applicability in photocatalysis. In this work, we passivate p-type GaP with a thin layer of n-type TiO2 using atomic layer deposition. The TiO2 passivatio...
